End of a Program…
As my time in the Digital Content Creation and Strategy program comes to a close, I’ve begun reflecting on how I have grown as a professional. At the start of this program, I was feeling all the normal emotions of someone returning to school and beginning a master’s program. Wondering if I am capable of finishing the degree? Will I be able to keep up with the coursework? As I began the program and got a few classes under my belt, I fell further in love and developed a stronger knowledge of and passion for digital design and content strategy. Through classes like design thinking and UX principles, I deepened my understanding of how to create content that clearly communicates to the target audience. Then, during my time in classes like visual design and social media practices, I sharpened my eye as a designer through redesign projects for brands and developed compelling visual identities to stand out in industry markets. Overall, as I prepare to finish up this program this fall, I feel I have grown and strengthened my skills as a content creator and a design professional.
As I move further into the professional world, I can see myself really making an impact on businesses by helping them develop a memorable visual brand and identity that helps them reach their target audience, thus leading to growth for the company. As I begin to finalize the full career shift from this program, I feel I would be best suited for graphic design, digital design, and social media coordinator roles for companies where I can develop a vision that aligns with the company's SMART goals and help achieve a significant return on investment for the company.
